Who is Ted Ringer

T E D W H O ?

My name is Ted Ringer. I wish I still looked like this. I am a writer and writing teacher in Boulder, Colorado. I was born in Minnesota and lived there until the mosquitoes drove me out.

I studied and taught with Natalie Goldberg, in New Mexico, for several years. Her example and inspiration have informed my teaching and writing. I will always be grateful to her for showing me that writing can be a way to know yourself, speak to others, and have fun doing both.

I have written five novels, among them, Born with a Beard (2006) and Gus Goes West (2007), both published by Wonderful World Publishing. My writing is also included in the Magnetic Poetry Book of Poetry. Beyond this, I have boxes of paper, full of writing, in my basement.

I am presently teaching in Colorado and am working on two new books.
